I didn't want to cancel the date with my wife, so I decided to only do 1 shake at lunch today. For breakfast, I changed my usual healthy (NOT!) bacon, eggs, toast, home fries with a berry yogurt parfait at Broadway's (which is a great breakfast place in Ottawa). I had the shake at lunch, and then I enjoyed the work party! There was surprisingly little unhealthy choices at my work party, but I am sure I probably went a little over 600 calories!
However, I am not going to worry about following the guide exactly. I will be following the plan more closely most days. I need to live my life and part of that involves enjoying time with family and friends.
